POTTERY PARTY

No art or pottery experience is needed!

We are delighted to present a diverse range of ceramic workshops tailored for all age groups and experience levels, conducted at your location. Our engaging 3-hour sessions are versatile, serving as excellent additions to various events such as team-building exercises for corporations, fostering staff members’ creativity, enhancing family bonds during birthdays or other gatherings, providing stress management activities, or offering enjoyable senior group experiences.

In contemplating the essence of art, I once likened it to the breath of society. While one may not directly observe a person breathing, the vitality they possess is unmistakable. Similarly, the impact of art on society mirrors this vital breath, subtly influencing communities in ways that may not always be immediately visible. Art programs and opportunities for creative exploration play a crucial role in constructing robust and vibrant communities. This workshop is designed with this vision in mind.

The use of clay to craft ceramic pieces holds a rich history globally. Indigenous communities, including those within Canada, have long utilized naturally occurring clay to create both functional and artistic pottery. Our workshop provides a glimpse into this tradition, aiming to inspire further exploration into the world of ceramics.

This 3-hour (thematic or non-thematic) creative workshop invites you to explore your creativity in a novel and perhaps unique medium. Guiding you through the creative process, we start with preparing the clay for the project and progress to forming it into a personalized product ready for firing and glazing in the kiln. This journey imparts scientific insights into clay preparation techniques and delves into the historical context of ceramics. Our ultimate goal is to encourage participants to unleash their imagination, demonstrating the myriad options available for artistic expression.

We come equipped with all the necessary materials, requiring only your assistance in preparing a table or two for a maximum of 15 people and a designated area for participants to wash their hands.
